ATTENDANCE
If your school wishes to attend please contact the Centre as soon as possible with numbers etc., either by phone, email, fax or by completing the attached form. I know it is still early in the year but hopefully this gives you a bit of planning time and a chance to select some steers. You will probably need to start looking for steers now.

STEER TYPE
Local Trade Steer approx. 150kg – 250kg dressed weight with approx. 100 days grain in order to meet MSA standards. Depending on your animal you are looking at an animal in the upper range of approx. 450kg live weight.

ACCOMMODATION
This can be left to individual schools or schools can camp at the Centre.

NUMBER OF ENTRIES
There is no restriction at this stage, but we hope to get between at least 40 - 50 steers.

AUCTION
Steers will be auctioned by Elders after Judging. Most steers last year made better than market prices at the time. The winning steers made excellent money.

SPONSORSHIP / PRIZES
In past years the Ag Show has attracted good sponsorship / support from the community providing prizes for all events. Elders, Landmark and New Hope Coal are the major sponsors for 2009. Sponsorship covers the costs of trophies, ribbons and prizes for all events, as well as the general running of the competition.
